Our History
Since 1943, the SHSU Catholic Student Center (CSC) has been part of The Office of Young Adult & Campus Ministry for the Archdiocese of Galveston-Houston which seeks to bring a Catholic presence to the colleges and universities located within the archdiocese. We seek to create environments where Catholic students can find community, encounter Christ in prayer and the sacraments, and be formed as disciples of Jesus. We also seek to evangelize the entire academic community and invite others into the joy, fulfillment, and truth of living the Gospel.
